The duties of the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs represent one of the main pillars upon which the Dean’s Office of the College of Political Science relies. This position serves as the central link responsible for overseeing conferences, seminars, workshops, and scientific activities within the College, in addition to supervising the affairs of undergraduate and postgraduate students and ensuring their discipline throughout their academic studies and after graduation.

Among the responsibilities of the Office of the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs are responding to official correspondence, monitoring student attendance and absences, ensuring compliance with the unified dress code, reviewing the reports of student disciplinary committees, following up on the preparation of examination schedules in coordination with the academic departments, and ensuring the implementation of the regulations and instructions issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as well as the directives currently in force from the Presidency of Tikrit University.
