Services provided to students:
- The training of male and female students is conducted during class hours allocated to extracurricular activities by the faculty members of the Student Activities Unit, with the aim of preparing them for participation in university championships.
- Students actively participate in the university’s annual sports competitions in accordance with the academic calendar.
- They also take part in field visits to state institutions, including the headquarters of the Independent High Electoral Commission and other relevant organizations related to their field of study. These visits are complemented by lectures and discussion sessions designed to familiarize students with the nature of work within such institutions.
- Students are encouraged to engage in voluntary work and community initiatives, with faculty members providing support and fostering a spirit of collaboration among them.
- Health, awareness, and educational counseling are offered through workshops addressing the dangers of smoking and drug use, as well as the importance of sports and healthy nutrition. These initiatives also seek to help students adapt to university life.
- Additionally, talented and creative students across various forms of art (painting, calligraphy and ornamentation, music, theater, poetry, etc.) are identified and supported. Students are encouraged to participate in exhibitions and festivals held both inside and outside the college, with moral and institutional support provided to nurture their creativity.
The university serves the community:
- The College of Political Science provides a book-lending service for researchers and students from various Iraqi universities.
- The College also publishes a scientific journal dedicated to the dissemination of research in the field of political science, serving scholars from both Iraqi and Arab universities.
- It organizes conferences, symposia, training courses, and joint discussion panels, with topics and issues selected through mutual coordination. Examples include collaborations with the Salah al-Din Directorate of Narcotics Control to raise societal awareness about the dangers of drug use, as well as with the High Commission for Human Rights and the Independent High Electoral Commission.
- In addition, the College carries out academic, informational, and field research projects of shared interest. These are published in recognized academic journals—either those listed on the Iraqi Academic Journals website or indexed in international repositories—as well as in publications issued by both parties, following the proper official procedures.
